Oracle last week announced their launch of Business Intelligence ( BI ) BI 11g.
Coming at a time when most major corporations are busy launching their own upgraded versions and new products for the BI and
dashboard markets, this is surely a interesting development to keep an eye on.
Oracle seems to draw its strength from the fact that its product harnesses data portability and integration right from storage to front end OLAP and other business intelligence applications.
Another key point to observe is the ability to allow multiple devices to access its BI app. thus allowing true mobility as well as functionality from a whole range of access devices.
Data security and integration with Open Office should allow a whole new level of BI usage, something to keep a lookout for since Microsoft too appears to be going full steam at the BI market.
